Our Tyndale 1526 exhibition focuses on the first printed Bible in English. William Tyndale was a scholar from Gloucestershire. His apparently inoffensive ambition to translate the Bible into English annoyed the bishops and had Henry VIII’s secret service hunting for him across Europe. The talk will use Tyndale's own words to explore his life, his death, and his legacy.Ticket includes admission to the Library to view the exhibition after the talk.
