About this Event

In this class, we compare and contrast common mal-pruning techniques that impact plant longevity with bona fide examples of pruning art: pollarding, cloud pruning, topiary, pleaching, and coppicing. We also discuss how to hedge correctly to minimize any negative impact on the plant’s health. This class ends on a humorous note with photos of the Good, the Bad, and the Bizarre.

Advance registration will end at 8 a.m. on the morning of the class. On-site registration with check, cash, or credit card will be available at 7400 Woodlawn on the day of the class, but we request that you register in advance to speed up check-in and so that we have an estimate of anticipated attendance for room setup.
