About this Event
ABOUT OUR EVENT
Master Path is a quarterly Speaker Series hosted by Path to College intended for personal growth, professional development, and community impact. Join us to learn from local experts and leaders to learn more about how you can support the talent pipeline for the future of Palm Beach County!
We are Path to College; we fearlessly clear the path for overlooked students to get into the best colleges with the best scholarships. Our students apply to college at 200% over the national average, receive 100% acceptance to and enroll in 4-year universities, with 60% admissions to top-tier institutions and 50% with full-ride scholarships (others obtain 70-90% tuition coverage). Mentorship plays a foundational role in the success of our program. We believe education is the answer, and college is for everyone.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Lisa LaFrance is currently active in the Palm Beach non-profit community as a donor, leader, and connector. Since early-2019, she has been a member of Impact the Palm Beaches, serving as Co-Chair of Grants, Vice President, and most recently President of this collective giving circle. She is a Thought Leader for the Daily Drip, a Board Member of Extraordinary Charities, and an Advisory Council member for Resource Depot.
Lisa’s professional background is in Investment Management. She was a Founder and Director at Bogle Investment Management, L.P., a Boston-area hedge fund, where she was responsible for Client Service, Marketing and Compliance. Prior to helping launch the Bogle firm, she was an Investment Officer at Strategic Investment Management, a Virginia-based asset allocation specialist and manager-of-managers providing investment services to institutional investors and high net worth individuals. Her previous experience also includes public relations and communications consulting. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Smith College.
Lisa shares "I am blessed that my professional career provided the resources to retire early and serve my community. I want to inspire and encourage everyone to find true happiness, not through the pursuit of limitless material wealth, but through the purpose and passion that comes with helping others."
