About this Event
Master Gardeners of Carroll County will provide a series of gardening classes in March and April 2025.
You may sign up for one class or all classes by clicking the links below.
Cost of each class is $7/class, supplies are included.

March 4 - Gardening 101
Geared for the beginning gardener, join us for 3 Table Talks to get started in your gardening adventure:
- Starting Your Garden – where and what do you need
- What to Plant – planning your crops and how to get them growing
- Garden Maintenance – keeping your garden growing
Table Talks will be presented in a Round Robin format with time for Q&A.
March 11 - Seed Starting and Beyond
Learn the basics of seed starting then move on to advanced techniques, such as utilizing heat mats and understanding grow lights. Hands-on activity: planting a seed tray; please be prepared to get your hands dirty!
March 18 - Good Bugs, Bad Bugs
Bugs aren’t all bad! Discover who is helping your garden grow and how to get rid of the baddies! Learn which plants need a pollinating visitor.
March 25 - Container Gardening
No room for a garden? Think again! Discover how to grow vegetables on your patio, deck or driveway, anyplace you can fit a container. Learn the ins and outs of utilizing various containers and growing in small spaces.
April 1 - Chat and Chew!
Bring your dinner or a snack and join us for a lively panel discussion and Q&A with Master Gardeners, sharing their best tips, tricks, and hacks!
April 8 - Tomatoes! Heirlooms to Hybrids and Everything In-Between
Dive into the world of tomatoes! What’s an heirloom, what’s a hybrid, what type of tomato do you use for sauce or slicing on your sandwich. Learn how to grow your best tomato ever!
April 15 - Make-up date (if needed)
