Our friends from Seattle are back in Europe this summer for their 6th UK tour and we're absolutely thrilled that they are playing a special gig for us right here in Southport!
Here's the details:
📍 Venue: Southport Bijou Cinema, PR9 0US
📅 Date: Sunday 23 August, doors open 7pm
🎟 Tickets: £10, available at Southport Bijou Cinema, Vinylfinders and on the cinema website (see link)
tHard to believe it's been 2 years since our awesome Massy Ferguson Street Party in Wesley Street... what a night that was! 😂
So we are very excited about this gig.
For those who don't know the band...
Known for their evocative songwriting and richly textured blend of country, rock and Americana, Massy Ferguson have built a reputation for crafting songs that explore the distance between small-town youth and the realities of adulthood. Their music shines a light on blue-collar American life through the songwriting partnership of Ethan Anderson and Adam Monda.
The band's latest album, ‘You Can't Tell Me I'm Not What I Used to Be’, has earned widespread critical acclaim, reaching the Top 40 of the US Americana charts during 2025-26 and helping secure the group a showcase appearance at Nashville's prestigious AmericanaFest. Over the past decade, Massy Ferguson have shared stages with artists including Son Volt, Old 97's and Tim McGraw. This is what some of the American specialist press say:
"Vintage rock & roll approach...quite indelibly cool. There’s Eddie & the Cruisers in their forte, some Jason & The Scorchers & Del-Lords in their attitude" AMERICANA HIGHWAYS
"Massy Ferguson have proudly planted their boots on both sides of the country-rock divide, carving out their own brand of amplified Americana along the way" NO DEPRESSION
Produced by celebrated singer-songwriter Damien Jurado, You Can't Tell Me I'm Not What I Used To Be marks a new chapter for the band. Rich with vintage tones, analogue production and cinematic arrangements, the record expands upon the rootsy rock-and-roll sound that has defined Massy Ferguson's career for nearly two decades.
With nearly 20 years on the road, Massy Ferguson continues to evolve while remaining true to the storytelling and musicianship that have earned the band such a loyal following on both sides of the Atlantic.
