MASSES AND MAN by Ernst Toller

This 1920 expressionist play explores the intersection of morality and commitment to a political movement through the view and dreams of a woman leading a popular workers' revolt.Toller, a German expressionist playwright, explores the humanity of revolution, political change and war through intense realistic scenes, bizarre dream sequences and visionary expressions of reality, all from striking personal experience.
