About this Event

Join former GB athlete, Georgia, for our weekly social lunchtime Run Club before heading to Oria café for a complimentary post-run thirst quencher.

Bring a pal and make new connections as we work on our cardio and release endorphins with a spot of light jogging.

Meet in the foyer of Maslow's Kensington, wear what you most feel comfortable to run in. For men and women of all abilities.

Extra benefit: according to Maslow's Dr. Jonathan Clark-McKeller, regular long distance running is one of the simplest and most effective things we can do to build resilience and increase longevity.

What To Expect

Lace up, head out, then head back for a well-earned pint. Every Thursday, the brilliant Maslow’s Run Club meets at 11:55 in the foyer of Maslow's Kensington for friendly, inclusive group runs through the park that finish exactly where they should: at Oria café with a complimentary refreshment.

This is all about good running, good people, and great vibes.

The Run

Thursdays – Lunchtime from 12pm.

A relaxed 30min group run, with multiple pace groups so everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re chasing a PB or just getting started, there’s a group for you. Afterwards, it’s straight back to the café to refuel and catch up.

Who It’s For

•    All abilities welcome – no one gets left behind

•    Friendly pace groups led by the Run Club team

•    Ideal for locals looking to move a bit and meet new people

The Best Bit(es)

The run starts and finishes at Maslow’s Kensington, which means post-run refuel, proper chat, and that unbeatable “earned it” feeling. Training motivation, sorted.

Extra benefit: according to Maslow's Dr. Jonathan Clark-McKeller, regular long distance running is one of the simplest and most effective things we can do to build resilience and increase longevity.

Your Host

Maslow's Kensington House Manager,Georgia Francis, made her British Rowing Squad senior international debut in 2017, winning the B final of the double sculls at the European Rowing Championships in Racice.

She raced in the same boat at the World Cup regattas in Poznan and Lucerne, finishing eighth and 13th respectively.

Georgia competed at three consecutive World Rowing U23 Championships. In 2014 she won an impressive silver medal in the women’s eights; she finished fourth in the women’s double sculls in 2015; and eighth in the women’s quad sculls in 2016.

Moving into the senior squad for 2017, Georgia rowed with Emily Carmichael in the double sculls at the European Championships and World Cups two and three before being selected as a sculling spare to the World Rowing Championships in Sarasota-Bradenton.

Beyond the boat, Georgia is a very keen sportsperson. She once competed in pentathlon pistol shooting, and hopes to continue her involvement in sport through a career as a sports nutritionist one day.

Her top holiday destination is Vienna, and Franco Manca pizza is her go-to post-competition dinner.
