A drop-in workshop for LGBTQ+ people. No experience necessary!
About this Event

A drop-in workshop for LGBTQ+ people of any experience level. Improv is all about collaboration and saying yes to people’s ideas. Follow your spontaneity, trust your gut and you’ll be surprised at what worlds you can create.

Improv is not just about being funny; improv is an amazing way to help people dealing with social anxiety or for people that want some practice feeling a little more free in their public speaking.

This is a low-stakes workshop where we can share some laughs and maybe even make some new friends. Through games and exercises we’ll create stories, characters and learn the fundamentals of improvisation.

About the facilitator:

Sam Roulston (he/him) is an award winning Comedian and Writer based in London.

He recently returned to the UK after living in Toronto for several years where he worked as a comedian and member of faculty at the Second City comedy theatre. Sam also performs/teaches at comedy festivals all over the world. Some of the most recent festivals include Mama City Improv Festival (Capetown), Hell Yes Fest (New Orleans), The Del Close Marathon (New York City), Detroit Improv Festival and Improv Fest Ireland (Dublin).
