Join Brown Faces Green Spaces for our annual conservation cleanup, Saturday, April 12th along the shore of Lake Michigan at Marquette Beach in Gary, to help raise awareness about how litter, plastic, and industrial waste affect our local waterways and our health. We will meet at Marquette Park beginning at 9:15am at Shelter #2 to sign in and distribute trash bags & gloves; complimentary morning refreshments provided. If you have trash pickers or any other supplies you would like to use, please bring them along.
After a brief safety tutorial, we will tidy up the shoreline of trash, waste, and plastic debris to help keep Lake Michigan healthy for future generations to enjoy. Volunteers of all ages, groups, and businesses are encouraged to participate and can register at the following link:
