Step into one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant and colorful landmarks — the Reading Terminal Market! In this hands-on photography workshop, we’ll explore the energy, textures, and rich diversity of this historic indoor marketplace. From mouthwatering displays of food to the friendly faces of vendors and shoppers, you’ll learn how to capture dynamic candid moments, colorful compositions, and authentic stories through your lens.We’ll discuss techniques for photographing in low light, composing images in busy environments, and approaching people respectfully to create compelling, photojournalistic-style images. Plus, you’ll have the chance to shop for some delicious treats and experience the market’s incredible flavors firsthand!
Most participants will take the Paoli/Thorndale train line into Center City Philadelphia, making this a fun and easy city photography adventure. Bring your camera, curiosity, and appetite for both photography and good food — this will be a day full of color, culture, and creativity!
