Marcos Mendez is a Normal, Illinois-based solo musician whose sound blends Americana, roots rock, country, and blues. A fixture in the Bloomington-Normal music scene since 2008, his passion for the craft traces back to his college days at Texas State University in San Marcos, where he first picked up a guitar and found himself immersed in a vibrant community of musicians. That Texas influence never left — he draws inspiration from legends like Willie Nelson, Pat Green, Slaid Cleaves, Charlie Robison, and Robert Earl Keen, celebrating their red dirt sound and superb songwriting with every performance.
