Join us on Saturday, March 21 at 7 PM for a special reading with poet Michael Imossan and fiction writer Angela Woodward. Their books will be available for purchase.This reading is free and open to the public thanks to generous support from Dane Arts and the Wisconsin Arts Board.
Michael Imossan is a poet and writer of Ibibio origin. He is the winner of the Sillerman First Book prize for African Poetry, 2024. He is the author of the Poetry Chapbook "The Smell of Absence" (Akashic Book). His Debut Poetry collection "All That Refuses to Die" is forthcoming from The University of Nebraska Press, 2026. He is a two time recipient of the PEN International Writers Grant.
Angela Woodward is the author of the novels End of the Fire Cult, Natural Wonders, and Ink, as well as her just released Afterlife, from Fiction Collective Two/University of Alabama Press. Her short stories, essays and reviews have appeared in many journals including the Kenyon Review, AGNI, Conjunctions, Ninth Letter, Green Mountains Review, and the L.A. Review of Books. Her short fiction has won a Pushcart Prize and been included in Dzanc Books’ Best of the Web collection.
