J. Michelle owns and operates Crow Creek Fly Shop, located in Roslyn, WA, and brings more than 30 years of experience as a guide and instructor.
Her presentation will center on creeks and small streams she grew up fishing – just a short ferry ride from Edmonds. She will cover small creek and stream techniques, and offer tips for fishing along the Hood Canal, and further north toward Port Townsend and Sequim.
Club meetings are free and open to the public. No tickets required. Doors open at 5:30 pm for in-person meetings.

ABOUT J. MICHELLE SWOPE
J. Michelle Swope is a lifelong angler who owns and operates Crow Creek Fly Shop and guide service in Roslyn, WA. She has been a guide and instructor for over 30 years and teaches casting, fly tying, rowing, and reading water.
She grew up fishing the Olympic Peninsula and caught her first fish at age two on the Elwha River—an early connection that shaped a lifetime on the water. Today, J. Michelle brings that same sense of curiosity and generosity into her teaching, helping anglers build skills while also encouraging confidence, stewardship, and connection.
J. Michelle is a founding member of United Women on the Fly, where she has been involved since the organization’s creation, supporting community outreach and serving as a military contact. She also currently serves as a board member and Advocacy Committee Chair for www.ifishibelong.org.
Additionally, J. Michelle is a member of the Washington State Council of Trout Unlimited and is involved in a conservation project on the White Salmon River.
