Description of Workshop/ Class:
Machine Basics Workshop- Saturday March 14 10a-1p
Minium number of students 3

Length 3 hours
Cost per student $65
This workshop is the perfect introduction for true beginners or anyone who needs a
relaxed refresher on the fundamentals of machine sewing. In this supportive,
hands-on class, students will gain confidence using a sewing machine while
learning essential skills that every sewist needs to get started.
We will cover how to properly thread a sewing machine, wind and insert a bobbin,
adjust basic machine settings, sew straight and consistent seams, and become
familiar with essential sewing tools and terminology. With guided, step-by-step
instruction, students will practice these skills while creating a simple and
functional envelope-style pillow slipcover to take home at the end of class.
Students may bring their own working sewing machine or borrow one of ours for
the session. To ensure everyone has the correct materials and can fully enjoy the
class, prepared material packets will be available for purchase for $12.
Students who prefer to bring their own supplies should bring:
1/3 yard printed 100% cotton
fabric, one yard coordinating 100% cotton solid fabric,
one spool of matching thread.

Do you need to make a design choice for this work shop? No but you need to check materials needed in description.

By completing this registration and payment, you agree to knowingly and freely assume all risk of injury or harm, both known and unknown, even if arising from the environment or negligence of the property owner, instructor, or other and you assume full responsibility and risk for your participation.
· Any special needs seating or other arrangements must be requested in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
If you are registering for more than just yourself, you must make your guest aware of all the information included in this registration.
Tickets are only available through Shore Marketplace, with the above link or by calling to purchase a ticket. You must complete the ticket purchase, and you will receive a confirmation receipt.

Cancellation policy: You will receive a credit toward another SMP class by the artist teaching/ hosting the workshop you registered for, if he or she is notified of cancellation at least one week prior to class date, No Shows will not be credited or refunded. Any credits issued will need to be applied to a class within 6 months!
Classes canceled by the Host or SMP will be eligible for credit or refund.
