Marc Mimram, Architect-Engineer – La construction des ponts de Paris

Les Ponts de Paris explores the history of the French capital through its 37 bridges, revealing how each structure reflects the architectural, engineering, and cultural ambitions of its time. Conceived by architect and engineer Marc Mimram, the exhibition combines maps, drawings, archival materials, and striking visual representations to trace the evolution of bridge design from the seventeenth to the twentieth century. Through a close examination of landmark crossings — including the Pont Neuf, Pont de la Concorde, Pont Alexandre III, Pont de Bir-Hakei and Passerelle Léopold Sédar Senghor (Passerelle Solférino), designed by Marc Mimram — the exhibition invites visitors to discover how advances in technology, construction, and urban planning have shaped both the Parisian landscape and the city's enduring identity.

M. Mimram will be present and in conversation with La Maison Française Chair of the Advisory Board Guy Sorman for the September 14th opening of the exhibition, which runs until Friday, October 23rd, visiting hours Monday-Friday from 3-6pm.
