Locals have enjoyed the sweet treat of Maple Syrup every spring for thousands of years. Join us in the sugarbush as we learn how to make the sweetest treat in the Northwoods. Trees for Tomorrow naturalist, Todd Starling, will lead our class as we learn about the history and science of maple syrup. We'll take you through the sugaring process to create your own maple syrup. From identifying and tapping trees to collecting and boiling sap, you'll leave knowing how to make your own sweet treat each spring!All participants will get an introduction to the tools needed throughout the whole operation and practice assembling their own sap collectors. Learners will then be led through the sugaring process step by step from identifying and tapping trees, collecting sap, to boiling the sap and bottling a final product. Participants will leave with supplies to set up three tree taps of their own!
Itinerary
-The program will begin indoors where participants will learn the history of syruping and details of how the process is completed.
-Participants will then head outside to experience each step from tapping to bottling the final product.

Check in will take place in the main education building beginning at 9:30AM.

This program is geared towards participants 18 years of age and older.
Pricing:
$55- single person attends program and receives supplies for 3 tree taps.
$70- Two people attend class and receive supplies for 3 tree taps.
