I mange år har Mana Pool bestræbt sig på at skabe et symbiotisk og organisk sammenflet af akustisk og elektronisk lyd. Ærligt og kompromisløst, drevet af intuition og komposition. Musikken er en mosaik af teksturel lyd over store ambiente flader, fremdrevet af intense og dynamiske rytmiske
sekvenser. De undersøger elektroniske lydmodulers evige uforudsigelighed og mystik. Med deres instrumentale færdigheder former de, det gådefulde og umiddelbare henimod en mere bevidst og konkret musik. Mana Pool eksisterer på et bredt spektrum af klang og rytmik. Fra pulserende eufori til et
smeltende og indadvendt mørke.

Bag DJ-projektet P(h)onyCat står Matilde Møller - en erfaren feinsmecker i det Aarhusianske elektronikamiljø. Siden start 00'erne har Matilde nørdet og samlet elektronisk musik.
P(h)onyCats’ sets er melodiøse, genreanarkistiske og legende. Fri for de 'moderne' DJ-dogmer for genre, bpm og 4/4 mixing. Man hører tydeligt, at Matildes musikalske dannelse har sin rod i 90'erne, hvor hun forelskede sig i jazz, IDM og triphop.
Forvent skæve beats og melankolske melodier. En musikalsk smeltegryde af elektronika, IDM, drum'funk, soul, hiphop, avantgarde pop & all that JAZZ.

For many years, Mana Pool has aimed to create a symbiotic and organic fusion of acoustic and electronic sound. Honest and uncompromising, driven by intuition and composition. The music is a mosaic of textured sound over vast ambient surfaces, propelled by intense and dynamic rhythmic sequences. They explore the eternal unpredictability and mystique of electronic sound modules. With their instrumental skills, they shape the enigmatic and immediate into a more conscious and concrete form of music. Mana Pool exists on a wide spectrum of tone and rhythm, ranging from pulsing euphoria to a melting and introspective darkness.

Behind the DJ project P(h)onycat is Matilde Møller – an experienced connoisseur in the Aarhus electronic scene. Since the early 00s, Matilde has been nerding out and collecting electronic music.
P(h)onycat’s sets are melodic, genre-anarchistic, and playful. Free from the 'modern' DJ dogmas of genre, bpm, and 4/4 mixing. It’s clear that Matilde’s musical upbringing is rooted in the 90s, where she fell in love with jazz, IDM, and trip-hop.
