Mamahuhu x Books Inc. Chinese-American Lit Club + Vanessa Hua Q&A - July
About this Event
Mamahuhu x Books Inc. Chinese American Lit Club + Vanessa Hua Q&A: July
Join Mamahuhu and our neighbors at Books Inc. for our Chinese-American Literature Club, newly arriving in Palo Alto for a summer series celebrating Chinese-American stories.
This month, we're reading Coyoteland by Bay Area author Vanessa Hua. A former San Francisco Chronicle columnist and author of A River of Stars and Forbidden City, Hua has spent years writing about migration, identity, and life across cultures. Her newest novel stays close to home, turning toward California suburbia with a sharp and compassionate look at neighbors, family, and the tensions that shape community.
We'll begin the evening the Mamahuhu way — with dinner and conversation — before moving into a dedicated discussion and special author Q&A with Vanessa Hua.
How it works:
• The first 25 sign-ups will receive a complimentary copy through Books Inc.
• You'll be emailed when books are ready for pickup at Books Inc. in Palo Alto
• Didn't reserve a book in time? You're still warmly invited to join us for discussion and the author event
This registration is for Coyoteland only — each book club month is signed up for separately.
See you there!
