Mama and baby yogaMom Baby Yoga is a great way to strengthen the bond between mother and baby.
Baby: 2 months to crawling age
Postnatal yoga is designed to nourish and nurture your mind and body as a new mother. During this course, you will get into your body, connect to your breath and, most importantly, be a part of a community of other new mama, where you can share anything in a safe space.
Who can participate?
From seasoned yoga practitioner to complete beginner, anyone is welcome to this lovely course. The yoga will be adapted to your postpartum body & biological and emotional needs.
Mother can participate when she has received OK from her doctor, however, we recommend that you start no earlier than 8 weeks after a normal birth and 12 weeks after an uncomplicated caesarean section
What to expect?
Breath and movement to help heal and (re)connect to the pelvic floor and core muscles
Gentle stretches to release tight parts, like upper back and chest to counteract holding and feeding baby
Strengthening poses to re-build body strength
Relaxation
Some singing and dancing with baby
During the session, your baby can be next to your mat, awake or sleeping, or be a part of the practice.
If your baby would rather sleep in the baby carriage, there is room outside on the plateau in front of the studio (remember baby alarm).
Everything is allowed in a post natal yoga class (you can feed and change baby, or anything else that seems right for you and your baby).
