Participants will learn the basic method for linoleum block printing, including carving and printing images on paper.
Participants will embellish the base for an annual calendar with their own block -printed designs, creating a beautiful artwork they can take with them. No experience necessary.
Ages 10 and older. (Adult-friendly and kid friendly!)
Olivia Levins Holden (she.they) is a muralist, artist, organizer, and educator living on Dakota homeland, Mni Sota Makoce, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her work centers art as transformation, connection, and narrative. Olivia has nearly two decades of teaching and facilitating youth and adults in creative exploration, collaborative design, mural-creation, and developing skills at the intersections of art and social justice. This event takes place in the Camp du Nord Dining Hall at 3594 North Arm Rd. (park in the North Arm Trailhead parking lot) and is open to du Nord campers and Ely locals!
