MODS’ Makerspace Workshops invite guests to explore the intersection of creativity and engineering through hands-on projects that bring science to life. Using real tools and materials, participants experiment with light, motion and design while building one-of-a-kind creations they can take home. Ages 10+ – no experience required–just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to make something amazing!Pepper’s Ghost
March 14 • 4–6 p.m.
Step behind the curtain and build a classic stage illusion that still blows minds today. In this Makerspace Workshop, guests will engineer their own Pepper’s Ghost box using wood, acrylic and real tools. Makers will learn how light, reflection and contrast can make images “appear” out of nowhere. It’s science, stagecraft and a little bit of spooky fun all in one.
Infinity Mirror
May 30 • 4–6 p.m.
Light that goes on forever? Let’s make it. In this hands-on build, makers will create a mini-infinity mirror that looks like a glowing tunnel stretching into space and experiment with brightness, spacing and color to customize the effect.
Members: $20 per maker; accompanying adult: Free
Non-members: $45 per maker; accompanying adult: $20
Includes Museum admission for the day.
