MAKERS LANE RUNWAY - by Melbourne Made x Fashlab

Drawing from Melbourne’s rich history in the garment industry, 12 featured Austalian designers have been inspired by historical garments made in Howey Place over the decades of the 20th century.

We welcome you to Melbourne Made, Makers Lane Runway in Howey Place Melbourne.

The runway will showcase capsule collections from contemporary Australian designers drawing inspiration from the historical pieces of Mr Simon, created in the very laneway where the runway will take place.

Highlighting the meticulous decision making, the evolution of ideas and craftsmanship, we would like to share all that goes into producing fashion collections in Australia.

By offering a unique insight into Melbourne-made fashion past and present and the ideas behind every creation, we aim to challenge the perception of value, and raise awareness about the negative effects of fast fashion on our environment and communities.

Join us in addressing these challenges and celebrating the beauty of slow, sustainable fashion at Melbourne Made - Makers Lane.

Drawing from the success of the sellout event held during Melbourne Fashion Festival in February 2025, the Melbourne Made team are joining forces with leading creative connection-makers in the Melbourne Fashion landscape, Fashlab to present their next fashion event.

The runway presentation will be complimented by The FASH LAB popup featuring Australian design up close, and your opportunity to purchase pieces seen on the runway.
