About this Event
Learn how to design custom inserts and organisers for tools, drawers, toolboxes, and small objects.
In this practical workshop, participants will explore how measuring, digital design, 3D printing, and laser cutting can be used to create accurate, useful storage solutions. The session will introduce basic 3D modelling for custom inserts and demonstrate how EPS foam can be cut with a laser cutter to create fitted organisers.
Example tools will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring small tools, knickknacks, or other small objects they would like to create an organiser for.
This workshop is a practical introduction to the tools and creative possibilities available through the Cruthu makerspaces in the libraries.
No previous 3D design or laser cutting experience is required.
Collection of designs will be at a later date to allow for printing.
