To construct a garment with raglan sleeves
On the course we will make a plain sweatshirt but you will take home the pattern and have the option to make a colour blocked version
What's included?
A commercial printed pattern which you can take home and re-use
What you'll need to bring
Up to 2.7m sweatshirt fleece or French terry (loopback). I will contact you beforehand to confirm measurements
0.6m ribbing (at least 90cm wide unfolded), for the neckband, hem band + cuffs.
Matching thread. We recommend using a good quality brand such as Gütermann or Coats
A sewing machine (if you don't have one you can choose to hire one from us for £10)
A sewing kit including fabric and paper scissors or rotary cutter, a quick unpick, pins, tailors chalk or fabric pen, tape measure or ruler, spare needles for your sewing machine. Kit is available to borrow if you don't have your own.
A jersey needle
£100. This course is aimed at confident beginners
Classes run for 3 weeks, on Tuesday 8th, 15th and 22nd Oct, from 6.30pm - 9pm at Saint Wilfrids Community Centre, Coltsgate Hill, Ripon HG4 2AB.
