About this Event

In this inventive and deeply personal work by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, the acclaimed Nishnaabeg writer reflects on skiing, ice, rivers, memory, environmental devastation, and the urgent need to rethink our relationship to the natural world. Blending lived experience, story, community teachings, and political thought, Simpson asks what it might mean to truly listen to water — and what water can teach us about coexistence, care, and survival. Thought-provoking, intimate, and expansive, this is a book that invites conversation.

Join us on Monday, June 29th for an evening of discussion, reflection, and community. We hope to see you there.
