About the Book
Motherclown is the kind of book that gets under your skin. It follows two women — a daughter who leaves for Paris to find herself, and the mother she leaves behind who starts to fall apart. It's about grief, creativity, the things we don't say, and what happens when the people closest to us become strangers. It's also, quietly, about what it means to be a woman trying to reclaim yourself. We chose it because it opens up exactly the kind of conversation we want to have at the table — about mothers, identity, and the lives we almost lived. Plus, it's set in Paris. Which felt right.
Who This Is For
Women in Toronto (and surrounding areas) in their mid 20's to mid 30's looking for meaningful conversation, new friends, and a shared love of books.
