Learn practical, hands-on mending techniques that will help you rescue and revive your favourite clothing.In this friendly and supportive session, Ash will guide you through simple but effective ways to repair and refresh your wardrobe. Bring along up to three garments needing attention—think repairs, hems, alterations or adjustments.

Practice hands-on repairs under guidance
Share ideas and tips with others who love to “make do” rather than throw away
This class is perfect for beginners with basic sewing skills and those wanting to build confidence in basic garment mending.
About the Tutor: Ashley Varden is a qualified seamstress with years of experience in garment making and alterations. She’s passionate about sustainable clothing and helping others gain the skills to keep clothes out of landfill.

Three Garments to mend
Sewing Machine (or use one of ours)
Water bottle
Facilities:
Our space is accessible for walkers, wheelchairs and gophers.
The toilet facilities are accessible.
We have a fridge, microwave & sandwich toaster.
Kettle, tea & coffee available
Dominos Pizza is nearby and the Service Station has food/snacks if needed.
