Make and Take: Custom Laser-Cut Keychains

Are you excited about the possibilities of Laser Cutting but aren't sure where to start? Did you take CCM's Laser Cutting for Beginners but want some more hands-on experience before you jump into your own project? Or maybe you just want to come make something cool.

If you answered yes to any of these, Make and Take: Custom Laser-Cut Keychains is the workshop for you!

During this workshop, participants will be guided through the creation of two custom keychains while going over the basics of using the OmTech Laser Cutter. Topics will include methods for creating custom designs for laser cutters, how to work with Light Burn, advice for tinkering with settings, and more. THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR LAS110!

And most exciting, you will get to make two custom keychains live! Participants will get to choose from a menu of various shapes and phrases, learning both how to cut, etch, and fill in your etch with color.

👋 Meet Emilie, CCM's Assistant Manager!
Emilie grew up in Aurora, Colorado and has lived in various areas around the Denver-Metro. Deeply passionate about how art can be used as a tool for strengthening community, Emilie obtained an AA from the Community College of Aurora, a BA from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, and a MA from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Art History and theoretical practices. She is also a prolific maker and crafter. Emilie started their first Etsy store selling her artwork as a Junior in high school, and now runs Hoity Toity Goods, an art store and creative community that prioritizes embracing all your artistic whims. When Emilie isn’t in the studio or at CCM, you can find them thrifting or gallery hopping with their partner, Curtis, sitting on the patio watching birds with her tuxedo cat, Jasper, or getting lost in the worlds of their books.
