Make a Trinket - Laser Cutting for Beginners

Harness the beam! Master digital design and program a laser cutter to slice and/or engrave your own custom acrylic accessories.
About this Event

Want to make your own custom keychain, earrings, or other small accessory? During this 2-hour class you will be able to do just that by becoming proficient at running 1 of our 3 Laser Cutting Systems! By the end of this class, you will be certified to use that laser cutter by yourself at the hub!

Minimum Age: 8 (all attendees under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult)

Maximum Age: None

Prerequisites: Basic computer skills including: clicking, dragging and dropping, zooming in and out, typing on a keyboard.

Summary:

Attend this session to learn how to create a basic 2D design using Inkscape for laser cutting/engraving and use one of our Laser Cutting Systems (like our Epilog Fusion Edge) to cut/engrave your design. After completing this class you will be certifed to use a Laser Cutting System by yourself at the Innovation Hub. This course will be covering the same content each session, you do not have to attend more than one session unless you want a refresher!

This course requires an enrollment of at least 3 participants.
