FAVO - Faith Arts Village Orlando - is located at 221 E. Colonial Dr. in downtown Orlando, just a few blocks east of I-4. Put the address 718 Highland Ave. into your GPS to be taken directly to the first parking lot. To enter the facility, turn north on Highland from Colonial, there is a stoplight, and enter the second driveway on the left, through a black fence. You will see a sign that says "Park Lake Presbyterian Church, FAVO Art Studios". Proceed through the parking lot to the far right and rear and on through the driveway connecting to a second parking lot. You will see an L-shaped building with colorful doors - that's us! I am studio 237, second from the end upstairs on the right. Look for the moons!

Info: We'll take a few minutes to meet and greet. Then we'll have a little time to find out about Tiffany Method soft solder and to choose the stones you want to use.

Info: First we will learn how to use the soldering irons, then the process of soft solder: how to wrap the stone with copper foil, apply flux, and apply the solder. Students will work on their own projects with guided instruction for about an hour.

Info: We will break for about an hour for lunch. There is no food vending at FAVO, but there are countless restaurants of all types in the area, a few within easy walking distance. Or you are welcome to bring your lunch and eat in the studio.

Info: During the last 2 hours everyone will work on their own projects with instructor supervision. You are welcome to create more pieces if you finish early.
