    Featuring works by André Mehmari, Ferdinand Thieriot, Thomas Yackimec, and Louise Farrenc.
  • November 8, 2026 — Masterworks: Romantic Piano Quartets
    Featuring piano quartets by Josef Labor, Mel Bonis, and Robert Schumann.
  • January 24, 2027 — Echoes from the Holocaust
    Featuring works by Sergei Prokofiev, László Weiner, Robert Kahn, Alexander von Zemlinsky, and Reynaldo Hahn.
  • March 14, 2027 — Masterworks: Piano Trios
    Featuring piano trios by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Anton Arensky, and Cécile Chaminade.
  • May 16, 2027 — Milestones: Looking Back, Looking Forward
    The 10th anniversary season finale, featuring Mendelssohn’s Octet, the work that marked the beginning of Magisterra Soloists, alongside music by Shostakovich and Brahms.

From the launch of Magisterra’s debut recording to a return to the music that started it all, the 2026–2027 season offers an extraordinary journey through chamber music, new works, history, and artistic collaboration.

About the Series

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Magisterra Soloists’ 2026–2027 season marks a decade of artistic excellence, ambitious programming, and cultural impact in London, Ontario. The anniversary season features the most ambitious slate of artistic initiatives in the ensemble’s history, including seven newly commissioned works by Canadian composers, with world premieres presented throughout the season. The year also celebrates the international release of Magisterra’s debut recording on Toccata Classics, featuring the world-premiere recordings of Ferdinand Thieriot’s two octets. Together, these initiatives mark a milestone season that reflects Magisterra’s continued commitment to artistic innovation, Canadian music, and bringing exceptional chamber music to audiences in London and beyond.
