Approachable Conversations with an Indigenous Man
About this Event
Approachable Conversations with an Indigenous Man
Join Ray John Jr., Knowledge Sharer, and Pam Tobin, Ray’s friend, for an approachable conversation about Truth & Reconciliation.
Taking place on September 30, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, this conversation is an opportunity to listen, learn and reflect on the history and ongoing experiences of Indigenous peoples in Canada, as well as the work that remains on the path toward reconciliation.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors, their families and communities, and those who continue to be impacted by the residential school system. The day also provides an opportunity for all Canadians to reflect on the history of residential schools, learn from Indigenous voices and consider our individual and collective responsibilities to reconciliation.
Through an open and approachable conversation, Ray and Pam will create space for learning, questions and reflection. Whether you are continuing your learning or just beginning, everyone is welcome.
