Magisterra At The Museum: Masterworks - Romantic Piano Quartets
About this Event
Experience the richness and expressive range of Romantic piano quartets through works by Josef Labor, Mel Bonis, and Robert Schumann. This program brings together three composers whose distinctive voices showcase the versatility of the piano quartet, from intimate lyricism to passionate and virtuosic writing.
The concert features Josef Labor’s Piano Quartet, followed by the evocative Piano Quartet of French composer Mel Bonis, whose music is increasingly gaining recognition for its imagination, colour, and emotional depth. The program concludes with Robert Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 47, one of the defining works of the piano quartet repertoire, combining lyrical melodies, dramatic contrasts, and the expressive intimacy of chamber music.
Join us for an afternoon celebrating three remarkable composers and the enduring artistry of the Romantic piano quartet.
