Five extraordinary musicians from Vermont’s legendary Marlboro Music. One Sunday afternoon in London. 🍂
“Astoundingly gifted virtuosos.” – The Washington Post
For 75 years, Marlboro Music has been a place where extraordinary musicians gather to explore music in depth. This fall, five of them are on tour, and they’re joining us for the second concert of our 2026–27 season.
The ensemble is led by violinist Alex Redington, former first violinist of the Doric String Quartet. With him is clarinetist Jonathan Leibovitz, praised by BBC Music Magazine for his “ability to mesmerize the listener in everything he does.”
The program:
Haydn: String Quartet in B minor, Op. 33 No. 1
Brett Dean: String Quartet No. 3, “Hidden Agendas”
Kaija Saariaho: Aure for violin and viola
Mozart: Clarinet Quintet in A major, K. 581
