Madame Curry Dinner - Feast and Fire in celebration of the Madame Curry Book Launch and we are holding our birthday promotion specials at R495 per person for dinner only and R750 including the recipe book. This Madame Curry night is about returning to the way food was meant to be cooked… slowly, patiently, over a proper wood fire. Not rushed. Not staged. Just time, flame, and generations of memory.
Some of main dishes of the evening will all be cooked over wood fire, allowing the smoke, heat, and slow simmer to deepen every flavour. This is the kind of cooking where the aroma fills the air first, where the pot tells you when it’s ready, and where love is built into the process. A true taste of Durban, the old fashioned way.
Starters
Homemade crisp samosas (chicken, potato, cheese & corn)
Vedde, fried until crispy and served hot, just like your grandma or Aya made them.
Wood-Fired Mains:
Roasted leg of lamb - slow roasted with our blend of herbs and spices with potatoes and home made gravy.
Lamb trotters with sugar beans, slow-simmered over fire
Cornish hen with potato & gadra beans with dhal russo
Wood fired masala lamb biryani, layered and finished over coals
Prawn curry in a smoked tandoori sauce
Dessert: Wedding-style soji, soft, fragrant, and nostalgic
Chocolate Ganache cake
