Join us as we celebrate the myth, the man, the legend known as Chris Macchia. He's everyone's favorite local bass player! Macch 50's One Big Band will be playing at the Lemon Squeeze on Friday, June 19th, 2026 at 7 PM. Chris has supported the foundation of countless musicians across the greater Hudson Valley region, playing bass in over a hundred bands since he moved from Ocean Side Long Island to SUNY New Paltz to study Jazz Performance in the mid 90's.
His vast experience in the music industry includes touring internationally, playing on countless records, laying the low end down at all of the local venues, and most recently, hosting his own radio show "Mach's Mix" on 98.1 WKZE. To Chris, being a part of the music community means spending each week pushing himself to be the best musician he can be. Anyone who has ever had the honor of playing with him knows that they can always rely on him to show up and bring it on stage! His musical prowess has been inspired by the different styles of bassists across the globe, including John Paul Jones, Jimmy Garrison or Chuck Rainey. These standout icons have inspired him to be a capable performer in many different genres. Some of his favorite genres include Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Classic Rock; as well as various World Rhythms ranging from the Gypsy music of Paris, to Brazilian beats, or the genre bending music of New Orleans.
Macch 50's One Big Band will include musicians from some of the many bands who he has played with throughout the chapters of his life.
