Two days, two ways to come together! Maangaar Voices invites you to Maangaar Summit 2026 and Buraanbur Night 2026: Jump for Joy, back to back over Thanksgiving weekend. Both events are FREE. Each event has its own registration, so please register for each one you plan to attend. Note: Buraanbur Night is for women only and is held at a different venue, The Avenue in Saint Paul.

An afternoon of learning, connection, and meaningful conversation about disability within East African families and communities. Families, caregivers, self-advocates, faith and community leaders, providers, and professionals come together to share knowledge, lived experiences, resources, and practical strategies for building more inclusive communities.

🥁 BURAANBUR NIGHT 2026: JUMP FOR JOY (WOMEN ONLY)

Our third Buraanbur Night celebrates the women caregivers (mothers, sisters, aunts, family members, and providers) who care for and support children and adults with disabilities. After all the appointments, advocacy, caregiving, and responsibilities our women carry, this is a night to simply jump for joy, with Buraanbur, drums, dancing, music, delicious food and treats, and community.
The night centers disability caregivers and the women who surround our families with love and support. This is a women-only event. All women in the community are welcome to come celebrate with us.

We are still accepting sponsors and vendors to support both events. Sponsors are what keep these events free for every family.
• Summit sponsorships range from $500 to $10,000, with recognition on our banner, stage, website, and social media, and time on stage at the top tiers.
• Vendor tables start at $500, a chance to meet families face to face who are looking for providers, services, schools, and community.
