Join the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums for a special Meet-Up at the State Museum of Pennsylvania. The only museum dedicated to preserving the natural and cultural history of the commonwealth, the State Museum is preparing to embark upon a transformative renovation project to enhance the visitor experience and improve collections stewardship. This exciting project will be followed by the renovation of more than half of the standing galleries. This intimate gathering will offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the facility and its more than 100,000 sf of gallery space. We will explore exhibits and collections storage areas, discussing these upcoming initiatives. Don’t miss this chance to explore the State Museum from a new perspective just ahead of the Building Museums Symposium!
