The MAA of Los Angeles invites you to come cheer on McGill Faculty of Law aluma, Shirley Sher, as she competes in one of the most spectacular dance competitions of the year! Shirley, who will be competing under the stage name "Shakira", will be in three dance categories alongside other accomplished professional and amateur dancers at LA Bellydance Academy's 4th annual competition on Sunday, November 16 at Illusion Magic Lounge.https://www.alumni.mcgill.ca/aoc/events-travel/EventDetails.php?id=NTU3Mzk=
Doors open at 4:00 pm and the competition starts a 5:00 pm, followed by the awards ceremony at 8:30 pm. Shirley's performance times will be provided to those who register. Spectators may enter and exit the theater as they please. Every McGill alum who purchases a show ticket will receive a FREE beverage voucher for McGillian-owned Odd One Out on 3rd Street Promenade, just a 3-minute walk away from the theater!
