About this Event

Minoo Dinshaw explores how the events of the English Civil War impacted London, driving divisions between friends and families. Drawing on his recent book Friends in Youth, learn about the life of Edward Hyde, a leading Royalist supporter and statesman who was later buried in Westminster Abbey, and his friend the Parliamentarian Bulstrode Whitelocke.

This event is part of our monthly Lunchtime Talk series. On the second Wednesday of every month, join us at St Margaret’s Church for an in-depth exploration of part of the Abbey’s history.
