Pianist Jenny Lu and bass trombonist James Littlewood present a sacred program of love, devotion, and spiritual longing, including J.S. Bach’s ‘Mache dich, mein Herze, rein’ from the St Matthew Passion, Jean-Michel Defaye’s Deux Danses, William Grant Still’s Romance, and Robert Denham’s Withering Grass, inspired by Isaiah 40:6–8. It reflects on life’s fleeting nature, ‘all flesh is grass’, and the enduring divine, weaving hope through passion and stillness.
