Economic and fiscal expert, Greg David will unpack the high-stakes budget landscape facing New York City, explore if the New York State budget will impact the City’s finances, how federal cuts may affect NYC programs and more.

About the Speaker:

Greg David is an award-winning journalist who serves as the director of both the Business and Economic Reporting and Ravitch Fiscal Reporting programs at the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY where he has taught every cohort in the school's 19-year history. He also covers the city's economy, fiscal and housing issues as well as the relationship of the business community to government for the non-profit news site THE CITY.

Greg served as editor of Crain's New York Business from 1985 to 2010 and a contributor from 2010 to 2020. He is also the author of Modern New York, the story of the city's economy from 1969 to 2010.
