Have you ever walked past someone sleeping rough and felt unsure what to do?
Many of us have used services like StreetLink to report concerns, but rarely hear what happens next — or understand what meaningful, safe support actually looks like.

This July, Fleet Street Quarter & Culture Mile BID invites you to a special Lunch & Learn session with Thames Reach, a leading London charity working directly with people experiencing homelessness in the City of London. Their outreach teams are on the streets every day, offering tailored support ranging from mental health and housing assistance to employment pathways that help people rebuild their lives.

What to expect

• A clear overview of rough sleeping in the local area, including the realities faced by individuals and the challenges outreach teams navigate daily.
• Practical guidance on how to safely and appropriately support someone who is rough sleeping — what to do, what not to do, and how to make referrals that genuinely help.
• An introduction to the Women Without Shelter project, including how individuals, organisations and businesses can contribute to the referral process.
• Open discussion and Q&A, giving attendees the chance to ask questions and explore how they or their teams can get involved.

• Lunch will be provided.
• A small attendance fee to reduce no‑shows, with proceeds supporting Thames Reach’s frontline work.
