Artificial intelligence is changing how organizations communicate, manage information, automate tasks, and approach decision-making. For many non-profits, it can feel difficult to know where to begin or what tools are actually relevant and useful to their work.
Join Jamie Henderson from Victoria Data Society for an accessible introduction to AI, how it’s being used, what benefits some organizations have experienced, and what pitfalls others have encountered along the way.
This session is aimed at people who are still trying to wrap their heads around the world of AI at a foundational level. Rather than diving into deep agentic builds or trying to automate all your workflows on day one, the session is designed to give participants a grounding in what AI is and how organizations might start thinking about implementing it in practical and realistic ways.
What you’ll experience:
A foundational overview of what AI is and how it’s currently being used
Examples of benefits, challenges, and lessons learned from implementation
Practical discussion around how non-profits can begin exploring AI tools
Space for questions from people at all levels of familiarity
A welcoming environment focused on learning, curiosity, and practical application
