99 Problems: Deconstructing “The War on Drugs”
Join the Black Student Association for an engaging Lunch & Learn exploring the racialized impact of the War on Drugs and its deep connections to mass incarceration.
Academic Advisor Jordan Williams will lead a dynamic presentation examining how drug policy has disproportionately affected Black communities, shaped the criminal legal system, and contributed to systemic inequities that persist today. Using hip hop as a cultural lens, this session will unpack how artists have long critiqued and documented these realities through music, storytelling, and resistance.
This event invites students to critically reflect, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue about policy, race, and justice—past and present.
