The Family Behind Leavitt Avenue: A Pioneer Story of Orange City and Beyond
Have you ever wondered who Leavitt Avenue was named for? Join WVHS member Daryl Victor as he uncovers the fascinating story of the pioneering Leavitt family.
Through years of research at his Orange City home, Daryl traces the family's remarkable connections to Orange City, Sanford, Chicago, and beyond, revealing how one family's journey helped shape communities across the country.
Discover the people behind the street name and the surprising links that connect local history to a much larger story.
Cost is $15 and includes lunch of Publix's deli ringleader sandwiches of roast beef, turkey, and vegetarian, along with chips, fruit, dessert and bottled water.
Food choices will be provided at the event, but we ask that you make a reservation so we can prepare for the appropriate number of lunches. Please call 386-740-6813 to reserve. The deadline for reservations is 4 PM on Tuesday, July 21.
