DeLand community members and artists lead a robust conversation presented in conjunction with "Our Flag in American Art: 1935–2026".
Join us for "Shared Symbols, Different Histories", a thoughtful and expansive dialogue on how the American flag is experienced differently across communities and generations, and how it can simultaneously represent pride, protest, complexity, and contradiction.
Panelists include artist Bobbi Baugh; Paul Croce, Emeritus Professor of History & American Studies at Stetson University; Michael Roldan, Co-Founder of ModMan; and veteran and business owner Christa Yates of MsPreppyPants. Through personal experience, history, art, and civic dialogue, the discussion will explore the many meanings carried within one shared symbol.
Galleries open 5:30 p.m.
Admission: Members Free | Future Members $10

Featured work: Miguel Saludes, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, 2026, Oil on canvas, 30 x 30 in.
