Mike & Maggie McKinney both hail from Florida pioneer families. They are story tellers whose stories are deeply rooted in the mud and piney woods of the Florida backwoods. Their music has carried them from Ireland to Nova Scotia, from The Gram Parsons Guitar Pull in Waycross, Georgia to the Montana Cowboy Poetry and Western Music Gathering in Lewistown, Montana (August 2021), from Newcastle Northern England to the island of Sark in the English Channel.
Their latest CD is Long Line of Fools, preceded by My Last Bad Habit (both 2021 releases) which makes 17 CDs for the duo. The song is the story and the story is the song.
They currently reside at Maggie’s Musical Farm in their 100 plus year old Cracker Shack, where they produce and perform concerts on their pecky cypress stage made from trees retrieved from the Chipola River…. growing music, one song at a time.
The historic train Depot is the perfect indoor listening room! Donation is $15 (cash preferred) at the door.
