Giovedi 6 febbraio 2025 alle h 23 Xing presenta a Raum, il suo spazio a Bologna, Giungla da schermo / Foresta da tastiera, record launch del LP AMAZOOM di Luca Trevisani, sedicesima uscita di XONG collection - dischi d'artista.
Per l’occasione Luca Trevisani realizzerà una sound performance, a partire dal testo partitura pubblicato con il disco.
L’uscita è su vinile bianco, in edizione limitata e numerata di 150 copie, assieme ad una tiratura di 30 collector’s edition ciascuna delle quali è accompagnata da un multiplo d’artista, una scultura ispirata a dei semi di Parartocarpus venenosa, provenienti dalla giungla amazzonica e usati dalle scimmie come pettine, ora oggetti da montare sul giradischi durante l’ascolto.
AMAZOOM propone all’ascoltatore due ipotesi di reincarnazione di un paesaggio, due traduzioni, due protocolli immaginativi entropicamente rigorosi.
“Quel che al buio non si può esprimere col colore, nella notte della giungla si fa concerto. La gara dei decibel nel nero della foresta amazzonica non lascia scampo: senza tappi per le orecchie dormire risulta decisamente impossibile. È una vertigine sonora, una voce primordiale che ti avvolge e ti rapisce. Volevo registrare quel concerto che non mi lasciava scampo, spaventoso e brulicante, ossessivo e travolgente. Il solo antidoto che mi è venuto in mente, un po’ per tentare di resistere allo sconforto, ma forse ancor più per sprofondare nel canto di quel pullulare, è stato di provare a descriverne le voci, i timbri, le sfumature. Così, ho acceso il computer e ho cercato di trascrivere ogni suono che mi attraversava, diventando uno stenografo al servizio di quel concerto eccessivo.” Per questo disco Trevisani ha interpretato prima, per il lato A, il suo testo/partitura in chiave sonora producendo centinaia di suoni sparpagliati in sequenza, accavallati e conviventi fino a ingolfarsi in una giungla da schermo. Ne ha scelti poi una trentina, per il lato B, associando ognuno a un diverso tasto della pulsantiera del computer, ed ha iniziato a battere il testo “anzi a suonarlo, trasformando il mio portatile in un improbabile ma esattissimo strumento musicale, in una mitraglia rumoristica smandrappata. Umori, rumori, linfe, membrane, vibrazioni. Ho registrato quel che ne usciva in presa diretta, ascoltando quella foresta da tastiera che prendeva forma attorno dentro e sopra alla mia scrivania.”
L'evento a Raum fa parte del calendario di ART CITY Bologna 2025 (weekend dal 6 al 9 febbraio 2025), programma di mostre, eventi e iniziative promosso dal Comune di Bologna, in collaborazione con BolognaFiere, in occasione di ARTEFIERA.

Thursday 6 February 2025 at 11 pm Xing presents at Raum, its headquarters in Bologna, Giungla da schermo / Foresta da tastiera, record launch of the new LP by Luca Trevisani, AMAZOOM, sixteenth release of XONG collection - artist records.
For the occasion Luca Trevisani will play the text published with the album as a score for a sound performance.
The release is on white vinyl, in a limited and numbered edition of 150 copies, including a collector's edition of 30 copies, each accompanied with an artist's multiple: a sculpture inspired by the seeds of Parartocarpus venenosa from the Amazon jungle, used by monkeys as combs and now objects to be mounted on the turntable while listening. The edition contains a text/score by Luca Trevisani.
AMAZOOM proposes to the listener two hypotheses of landscape reincarnation, two translations, two strict, entropic protocols of imagination.
“What can't be expressed in color in the dark, in the jungle night becomes a concert. The decibel race in the blackness of the Amazon forest leaves no escape: without earplugs, sleeping is decidedly impossible. It’s a sonic vertigo, a primordial voice that envelops and captivates. The only antidote that I could think of, partly to try to resist despair, but perhaps even more to immerse myself in the song of that teeming life, was to try to describe its voices, its tones, its nuances. So, I turned on my computer and I tried to transcribe every sound that passed through me, becoming a stenographer in service of that excessive concert.” For this record Trevisani performed his text score, creating hundreds of scattered sounds, overlapping and coexisting, until they jammed into a jungle for a screen (Side A). Then, linking each to a key on his PC keyboard, he typed the text -or rather, he played it - turning his laptop into an improbable but perfectly exact musical instrument, a ramshackle noise machine for a domestic wild nature taking shape around, within, and above his desk: keyboard forest (Side B).
The event at Raum is part of the ART CITY Bologna 2025 calendar (weekend from 6 to 9 February 2025), a program of exhibitions, events and initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Bologna, in collaboration with BolognaFiere, on the occasion of ARTEFIERA.
