About this Event

Once scarred, the Cuyahoga River now flows through the park as a symbol of renewal. From Oxbow Meadows, hear from Ranger Ainger as he discusses the river's restoration. Learn how decades of revitalization have transformed it into a hub for recreation, from paddling to wildlife watching, and earned it the honor of National Water Trail designation.

About Ryan Ainger, River Ranger at Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP):

Ryan graduated with a B.S. in Park Management from Kent State University and has been working as a ranger with CVNP for over 10 years. As a river ranger and river program manager for CVNP, his work involves everything from long range planning efforts to swamped boat recoveries. Ryan leads a multi-divisional group of park staff that are dedicated to restoring the river and maintaining access to the Cuyahoga River Water Trail.
